OK the OFFICIAL rule as of 10/3/03

45 card deck... thsi is exact size(not counting HQ)

must use 20 assets, 10 others, 15 bases

no more then 3 of any card except common bases

4 rare 1 vr maximum(5th rare may be used instead of a VR)

no more then 3 assets with a fp more then 7(stat boosting enhancements etc.. doesnt count towards limit, so it is allowed) this rule is starting FP

any hq can be used but it will count towards the rare allowance(BP HQ will count as rares)

NO victory cards
other banned cards for producing rares and not being able to tell where it came from are TRIGGER HAPPY JACK, Weapons create, and Uplift.

others may be banned but ill give plenty of notice ahead of time.

The HQs were originally VR and I think they should be counted as such. After all, they generally are more powerful than the rare HQs.

it would make more sense for all HQs to have the same rarity though, and i wouldn't say the BP HQs are more powerful then the non-BP ones

Is that 45 cards including the HQ if you use one? And what if you want to use something like 4th anniversary HQ?

45 cards not including hq and the promo hqs that are like a regular hq count as regular hq... not as a rare or anything since itjust has special art and no special ability.

there are a lot more usefull hqs then the BP hqs...

and i agree it makes since to keep the hqs the same rarity... but if i get more og an argueent to change the bp hqs i will consider it.

45 cards not including HQ..unless the HQ is a rare, then the hq counts against your deck size....is that correct?

i dont think it did in the original f1 so ill say no

the rare or bp hq only counts towards the allowable rares in your deck other then that its 3/45

I hope Formula 1 makes a comeback. Here is a site I found two weeks ago on this very thing...

thanks for the link Andrea....

Slurpy, are you going to use the rules shown on that site:

- 45 cards: 20 assets, 15 bases, 10 others
- No more than 4 rares and 1 VR in deck
(A 5th rare may be used instead of VR)
- No more than 3 assets over 7 firepower
- No more than 3 of any single card
- No more than one H.Thalmann
- These decks use Regular Headquarters

The Thalmann rule probably has to be revised for Contracts and probably some other stuff too. Heck, maybe even HQs too. tongue.gif

After all, Formula 1 was created for newbies, not vets.

I personally prefer the Standard HQ (or equal) requirement, not that my opinion matters! And I had forgotten about the FP restriction!

If anything, I think the H. Thalmann rule can probably be ditched. These rules were drawn up pre-Ashraf, and the one-Thalmann rule is probably a legacy of the pre-WO game environment.

- 45 cards: 20 assets, 15 bases, 10 others
this rule is definitely in

- No more than 4 rares and 1 VR in deck
(A 5th rare may be used instead of VR)
so is this one

- No more than 3 assets over 7 firepower
this one is negotiable... but i dont think is nescary lets keep it unless i get a big demand to drop it.

- No more than 3 of any single card
this rule is yes

- No more than one H.Thalmann
this rule is ditched

- These decks use Regular Headquarters
this rule is gone as well.... the hq counts as a rare you are alllowed to use.

so maybe mine isnt exactly formula 1 its an adjusted formula 1

basically i need to adjust for the new cards my basic rules are in my first post.. ill say No Vic cards. i am leaning towards droing the fp rule since we have a few assets that are easy to come buy with more then 7 fp.
